Call your reps and tell them you are opposed to John Bolton’s appointment if his previous stances concern you (Hint: They should. Both Democrats and GOP congresspeople have opposed him previously for a reason).

It’s also a good time to tell your reps you want the president’s first strike power restricted.

This could be your last chance to stop ISPs from messing up your Internet!

WE HAVE ONE WEEK LEFT TO FIGHT THIS PLEASE HURRY! This is the URL to enter your phone number to call Congress and ask them to repeal. We NEED to fight this people!

https://www.battleforthenet.com/

I can’t tell if this is real or just a very surreal meme.

Unfortunately this is real.

You guys can’t just call congress. The FCC is doing this. You need to file a comment on their site telling them you are against the repeal, especially since they’ve proven they’re not willing to ignore spam and anti-net neutrality bots.

Also, PLEASE, do not waste your time tweeting or commenting on your congressman’s social media. It’s a waste of time at the federal level. They can’t go through it all. You need to CALL them or WRITE to them, preferably call. Visiting works too but PLEASE call.

Call your senators today to tell them

– To extend CHIP funding to help children get and keep health insurance. It expires on September 30th if not extended.

– Demand they vote no on the confirmation of Chairman Pai of the FCC. This will help the fight for Net Neutrality, because he’s leading the push to get rid of it.

– To ask for aid for the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Scripts are here: http://itstimetofight.weebly.com/call-list-for-friday-sept-29th.html

And there’s a post there with links to find your senators.

https://5calls.org also offers scripts for CHIP and Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands.

ALSO – applications to extend DACA must be received by October 5th so spread the word on that!

No no no no no.

I cannot stress this enough – do not call senators who do not represent you.

Best case scenario, they don’t listen and point you towards your senators. They don’t care if you like what they do or if you donate to their opponents or whatever, they care if you vote for them. If you don’t, they don’t listen.

Worst case scenario, they stop answering claiming ‘harassment’ or decide anybody anti-Graham-Cassidy is from out of their jurisdiction.

If you want to help, the best thing you can do is call YOUR senators and tell your friends, family, and followers to call theirs – or, if you’re not American, post and boost information saying call their senators.

You can find your senators here: https://www.senate.gov/reference/reference_index_subjects/Directories_vrd.htm

Also – a lot of senators are asking governors for input here. Call your governor as well! https://www.usa.gov/state-governor

Town Halls are Out

blenderbender1811:

If you want to set up a meeting with your representatives during this month’s recess or go to the their town hall meetings, now is the time. Definitely google your rep’s district office contact info and projectownhall will let you know if they’re holding a meeting.

These are good places to press on healthcare, net neutrality, and diplomatic (Non-military) solutions with North Korea.

Have some links

Project Town Hall: https://townhallproject.com
It’s time to fight: http://itstimetofight.weebly.com/call-list-for-thursday-august-10th.html
5calls: https://5calls.org/issue/recP3XRP4IFDvaCgF

The first one will help you find out if any town halls are near you, and the latter will help you find your reps and their district office call info or address, as well as scripts for those of you with phone anxiety.

For those of you who like to fax, this site will help you for free: https://faxzero.com

Call your senators about the health care bill and tell them you do not want the ACA repealed. Today was a vote to proceed on the vote for this. Tell them you do not want this bill.

Call if you have a Dem senator and tell them you appreciate fighting the bill. Call  if you have a GOP senator and tell them you don’t want it. Call YOUR senators. Other people’s senators will not tally your call and may use it to ‘prove’ their constituents support it because the opposition is from outside.

Can’t get through in DC office? Call district offices.

They turned off the phones or you have phone anxiety? Send emails.

Emails aren’t getting through? FaxZero is being very helpful with faxes.

No access to faxes? Snail mail.

5calls and it’s-time-to-fight.weebly.com both offer scripts.

Now light up those lines.

Guys, keep calling. The vote could be today or tomorrow. This is important. A million jobs are on the line and, more importantly, so is healthcare for millions.

Social media is not the same as calling, emails, faxing, or letters. Social media does nothing federally. There’s too much of it.

Call.

You guys have seven hours of debate left. We still haven’t even SEEN the dang bill, so definitely light up those phone lines.

Also – if you see anything about Dems voting against a single payer amendment, it’s because the amendment is only there to troll – it was never going to be taken seriously and the vote does not necessarily reflect their feelings about single payer.

Guys. Now. Nownownonwonwnow. Get your friends and family to do this too.
