Saw this somewhere else and felt the need to post it cause no one else ever really tells you this stuff

My mom never really noticed. She noticed when she was breast feeding my little brother and blood started coming out instead of milk. 

My mom said she felt and saw a little lump in the shower. She was lucky enough she found it at stage 2

My mom had a mammogram. The radiologist thought the spots were just regular calcium deposits. 

Turns out it was triple negative breast cancer that had spread to her lymph nods. Mastectomy, radiation and chemo saved her life.

This could SAVE a life.

Reminder that anyone who grew their own breast tissue can get breast cancer. That includes trans women, intersex peeps, and cis men who may not have been aware there could be some breast tissue in there. The only way to be sure you don’t have any at all is if you’ve had it all removed. If you’ve had tissue removed for reasons other than cancer, they likely didn’t remove all of it. If you find something weird, regardless of who you are or how you identify, get it checked out.

All of you should reblog this. Breast cancer affects everyone and there’s not enough information about it.

His isn’t a senate confirmable position, so dealing with him is tricky. 

Right now, you should call your elected officials and tell them you oppose his being hired. A lot of GOP officials don’t like this guy either and blocked previous potential appointments for him, so you may get a good reception on this. It gives them numbers to back up anything they do to circumvent them.

Also ask them to support any bills going around limiting the president’s first strike powers – Bolton is a serious hawk.

Call your reps and tell them you are opposed to John Bolton’s appointment if his previous stances concern you (Hint: They should. Both Democrats and GOP congresspeople have opposed him previously for a reason).

You guys can’t just call congress. The FCC is doing this. You need to file a comment on their site telling them you are against the repeal, especially since they’ve proven they’re not willing to ignore spam and anti-net neutrality bots. 

Also, PLEASE, do not waste your time tweeting or commenting on your congressman’s social media. It’s a waste of time at the federal level. They can’t go through it all. You need to CALL them or WRITE to them, preferably call. Visiting works too but PLEASE call.

If your DACA protections are set to expire before March 5, 2018 you will have until October 5, 2017 to apply for one last renewal.

Call your senators today to tell them 

– To extend CHIP funding to help children get and keep health insurance. It expires on September 30th if not extended.

– Demand they vote no on the confirmation of Chairman Pai of the FCC. This will help the fight for Net Neutrality, because he’s leading the push to get rid of it.

– To ask for aid for the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
