Ok, so you used to be on welfare and now work the in the welfare caseworker.  I will agree with you that SOME people that are on welfare are hardworking people that just can’t make ends meet, but there are always those people that give the system a bad name.  I personally know many people that sell their food stamps for half value so they can have that money in cash to buy alcohol, cigarettes, or even drugs.  The worst part is these same people live with other people that do the same damn thing and have kids that they pretty much neglect.  Now I am sure these are the few people that actually are lazy, but in my life they are the majority.

1) Report them for fraud, then.

2) They’re the minority. A very small minority. You think they’re the majority because that’s how our brains work. The majority of people on welfare don’t draw attention to themselves like that, so your brain doesn’t notice them, so to you they don’t exist. You need to start checking that thought process every time it happens, because you’re demonizing people who don’t deserve it.

the people who steal are the ones on top. stop fucking believing reagan. no one on assistance is stealing millions of dollars riding around in cadillacs.

This always boggles my fucking mind. How is one so devoid of compassion that they begrudge someone the few bucks they need to survive? While at the same time praising multinational corporations for the millions upon millons that they steal through tax dodging and tax breaks. 

On top of the fact that you can’t “abuse" a system that is predicated on your own destruction. The state is predicated on white supremacist, colonial and genocidal knowledge. People of color are literally hunted and killed by the state. You can’t abuse that system because the system is set up to abuse you.

This also completely elides that fact that white people are the ones who are mostly on welfare.
